The organized giving program
Our philosophy is to treat each other as we want to be treated. That is why we want to help those in need. To help support local charities and non-profit organizations we created the ‘Organized Giving Program’.
This program was established in 2004 by the company owners. The committee consists of employees from all areas of the company. This group meets once a month to discuss ways that Fiber-Line® can help the local community, whether by donating money or volunteering their own personal time. With production sites in Hatfield (Pennsylvania), Hickory (North Carolina), and Leeuwarden (The Netherlands), the Organized Giving Program of Fiber-Line® is truly reaching around the world.
Help better our society and the people in it
The responsibilities of this organization consist of donating a certain percentage of the company’s revenues to local charitable or non-profit organizations to help in their quest to better our society and the people in it.
Donations are not restricted to monetary donations as the program has extended its goals to be more active in volunteering their own personal time to help groups such as the Special Olympics, Manna on Main Street, and Habitat for Humanity.
Fiber-Line® has also donated computers to local boys and girl clubs to help better educate the leaders of tomorrow.
A personal choice
In addition to this organized committee, each Fiber-Line® employee has the opportunity every year to donate $200 of the company’s money to any charity of their choice in their name.
Funds are also set aside for world disasters. Fiber-Line has donated funds to help in such disasters as Hurricane Katrina and the Tsunami that hit parts of Asia and Africa.
Try to make a difference
In 2009, Fiber-Line’s Organized Giving Program donated to over 40 different charities.
Although we realize that we will never be able to do enough, we feel we are making a difference.
We are hopeful that other companies will read this and become more active in their local communities also, no matter where they are.
